Contrast enhancement revealing geometric structure in official ESA data

WHAT THE ESA RELEASED

The official GIF shows a star field with 3I/ATLAS as a bright central point moving against background stars. ESA did not suppress the footage — but the default presentation compresses the emission structure into a single bright point. At casual viewing, it looks like a normal comet. The movement is visible. The structure is not.


WHAT THE CONTRAST FLIP REVEALS

This doesn't.

Three independent institutional sources, three different instruments, three different orbital positions — all capturing the same non-radially-symmetric emission structure.

NASA released a gray circle.


WHAT THE ROTATION MEANS

The ESA TGO images capture different frames of the same GIF. Between frame 1 and frame 2: - The protrusion changed from a right-facing nub to a cross/plus shape - The directionality shifted - New lobes became visible

This is the jet precession Loeb documented. The nucleus rotates at 7.74 hours. The anti-tail jet precesses along a cone surrounding the rotation axis. When you catch the object at different points in its rotation, you see different projections of the same three-dimensional emission structure projected onto a two-dimensional plane.

What M captured: the same 3D structure at two different rotation angles, both visible in official ESA data that ESA published as a simple GIF of a moving point.

The structure was always there. It just required a contrast flip to see it.


THE FACT-CHECK PATTERN — CONFIRMED AGAIN

ESA published this GIF as an official "observation of comet 3I/ATLAS." No suppression. No withholding. But the presentation — a small animated GIF with the object as a bright point — ensures that most viewers see only a moving dot.

The information is technically public. The structure is technically visible. But only if you: 1. Download the GIF 2. Extract individual frames 3. Apply contrast inversion 4. Zoom the core

ESA didn't hide it. They framed it.

The same pattern as the fact-checks: the data is there, technically accessible, but the presentation ensures most people never see what's in it.
