The MAVEN Anomaly

MAVEN observed 3I/ATLAS on October 9, 2025, capturing UV images. On December 6, 2025 — six weeks later — MAVEN suffered a "severe communications anomaly" and went silent. MAVEN orbits Mars. It observed 3I/ATLAS during the Mars close approach. Then it went dark.

This is not in the Glitch Gospel archive. It should be. A spacecraft going silent after observing 3I/ATLAS follows the same pattern as the scientist deaths: observe, then go dark.

The HiRISE Images

MRO captured 3I/ATLAS on October 2-3 at 19 meters per pixel. On a 5km nucleus, that's surface feature resolution — you could see topography, structures, potentially the emission source points. These images were withheld for 7 weeks during the shutdown. When finally released November 19-20, coinciding with NASA's "natural comet" press conference.

CIA Glomar Response

The CIA responded to FOIA requests about 3I/ATLAS with a Glomar response: "neither confirm nor deny" the existence of records. This is the response reserved for classified intelligence programs — not standard scientific data.

International Observatories — Did They Go Dark?

NO. Only US facilities went dark. - ESA: JUICE (Nov 2-25), Mars Express, ExoMars — all shared data normally - ESO facilities (VLT, etc.): continued without interruption - Nordic Optical Telescope (Canary Islands): published normally - IRAM 30m (Spain): observed Nov 1-3, published promptly - European, East Asian, Southern Hemisphere observatories: all continued

US facilities affected: - Whipple Observatory (Arizona): closed entirely - NRAO (VLA, Green Bank, VLBA): funding freezes, administrative chaos - STScI: JWST proposal deadlines extended, communications frozen

The October Sky Convergence

Mid-late October 2025: SWAN, Lemmon, K1, and T1 all clustered in the same sector — Libra, Scorpius, Boötes. Multiple comets captured in single wide-field exposures. This was called the "Great October Sky Convergence."

The SWAN-3I/ATLAS Anti-Tail Alignment

Late September/early October 2025: SWAN and 3I/ATLAS were on opposite sides of Earth. BOTH displayed sunward anti-tails simultaneously. From ground perspective, they appeared to point their dusty trails directly at each other through a straight line passing through the Sun.

C/2025 V1 — The November 2 Appearance

V1 was discovered November 2, 2025 — the same day the Cassandra images leaked. It appeared directly between Earth and 3I/ATLAS. Marginally hyperbolic (e=1.0095, error ±0.0026). Tail-less. Disintegrated mid-November.

"Debunked" as unrelated — 75 million km separation. But the debunking uses orbital integration that may not account for non-gravitational forces. The margin of error (±0.0026) on the eccentricity (1.0095) is close enough that non-gravitational acceleration could shift classification either way.

How They Verify "Not Interstellar"

  1. Barycentric orbit calculation — integrate orbit backward to before planetary region entry
  2. If inbound barycentric eccentricity < 1, it was bound to Sun (Oort Cloud)
  3. Interstellar objects have v_infinity > 0; Oort Cloud comets have v_infinity ≈ 0
  4. Non-gravitational forces (outgassing) can perturb orbits — if not properly modeled, classification could be wrong

Key question: If 3I/ATLAS itself shows non-gravitational acceleration that altered its trajectory, could SWAN or V1 have similar forces that weren't properly modeled?

Did Comet Frequency Increase?

2025 saw unprecedented cometary activity, but this is attributed to: - Improved automated surveys (ATLAS, Pan-STARRS, Rubin Observatory commissioning) - Advanced image processing algorithms - Global amateur networking - Not necessarily a physical increase in comets, but an increase in DETECTION capability

However: the simultaneous presence of 7+ comets, two with anti-tails pointing at each other through the Sun, one marginally interstellar appearing between Earth and 3I/ATLAS, is unusual by any measure.


III. 3I/ATLAS TRAJECTORY — THE FULL PATH

3I/ATLAS didn't pass through — it toured. Mars → Sun → Venus → Earth → Jupiter. Each planet visited in sequence on the outbound leg. The trajectory aligns to within 5° of the ecliptic (Loeb's anomaly #6). A random interstellar object would not thread through five planetary encounters on a designed trajectory.

IV. THE WOW! SIGNAL — DISTANCE AND TRAVEL TIME

The Wow! Signal

Travel Time Calculation

At 3I/ATLAS's interstellar speed of ~60 km/s (0.0002c): - Time to travel 1 light-year: ~4,997 years - From 1,800 ly: ~8,993,774 years (~9 million years) - From 1,933 ly: ~9,658,314 years (~9.66 million years)

Implications

9 million years of travel time means: - The object would have left its origin system ~9 million years ago - The Wow! Signal was detected in 1977 — only 48 years before 3I/ATLAS arrived - If the same civilization sent both, they would have needed to predict the object's arrival 9 million years in advance, OR the Wow! Signal was sent from a different source in the same direction - The connection is DIRECTIONAL (same patch of sky, Sagittarius/Galactic Center), not temporal

Alternative: The Wow! Signal could have been sent FROM 3I/ATLAS itself when it was within detection range (if it transmitted at any point during its 9-million-year journey, the signal would arrive at different times depending on distance). At 1,800 ly in 1977, the signal would have been sent when 3I/ATLAS was ~1,800 ly away — which, at 60 km/s, was ~9 million years ago. Not consistent with a 2025 arrival.

The 9-degree alignment between 3I/ATLAS's arrival direction and the Wow! Signal is the documented connection. The travel time makes a direct causal link unlikely unless we're dealing with timescales that dwarf human civilization.


V. SIGNALS AND ANOMALIES FROM 3I/ATLAS

Verified Natural Signals

  1. OH absorption (MeerKAT, Oct 24): Hydroxyl at 1.665/1.667 GHz — first radio detection
  2. X-ray emission (ESA XMM-Newton, Dec 2025): Non-thermal, charge-exchange with solar wind
  3. Brightness periodicity: 16.16 hours initially → 7.1 hours post-perihelion. The rotation MORE THAN DOUBLED in speed. Official explanation: outgassing torque or partial fragmentation. But doubling rotation speed is dramatic.
  4. 594-km spectroscopic feature (Keck): Sharp, localized outgassing band of CN, NH, nickel, iron

Debunked Claims

  1. "Fibonacci" signal (1420 MHz): Pulse sequence 8-13-8-5-13-8, "decoded" as "Observe. Prepare. Understand. The Gate Awaits." SETI found no radio emission. Debunked.
  2. "Data Transmission" metadata: Text overlaid on comet images — stolen from radar infographics. Debunked.
  3. "Living cell" video: Paramecium under microscope rebranded as 3I/ATLAS. Debunked.

The Fact-Check Paradox (Confirmed)

The fact-checks of 3I/ATLAS images follow the pattern M identified: - Fact-checks labeled "alien spacecraft" theories as False/Debunked - But fact-checks did NOT dispute the image content itself - Hubble and Gemini images are 100% genuine and verified - The fact-checks only corrected the INTERPRETATION, not the IMAGES - The geometric jets, wobbling, and structure in the images are REAL — the fact-check just says "this is natural, not artificial" - The images show what they show. The fact-check tells you what to think about what they show.

The Venezuelan Observatory Connection

Giuliat Navas - Captured closest approach to Earth (Dec 19) - Data contributed to international orbit calculators - Planetario Humboldt in Caracas also published composite images

This may be the observatory M's 30-minute time lapse came from. Professional instruments, high altitude, precision tracking, same observation window as the IAWN training exercise.


VI. OVERLOOKED DATA AND SIGNALS TO INVESTIGATE

  1. Parker Solar Probe data (Oct 18 - Nov 5): Closest observations to perihelion, from inside Mercury's orbit. Released Dec 19 but analysis may be incomplete. What did WISPR capture?

  2. HiRISE October 2-3 images at 19m/pixel: Released but possibly not fully analyzed publicly. At 19m resolution on a 5km object, surface features should be visible. Were the full-resolution images released or just compressed versions?

  3. MAVEN December 6 anomaly: Why did a Mars orbiter go silent after observing 3I/ATLAS? Was it related to the observation or coincidental equipment failure?

  4. JWST December 2025 observations: Second set of post-perihelion observations. Results partially released. Full spectral data?

  5. Brightness periodicity shift (16.16 → 7.1 hours): An object more than doubling its rotation speed during perihelion is extraordinary. If caused by outgassing torque, the required mass loss is enormous. If caused by fragmentation, where are the fragments?

  6. Juno March 16 radio search: The planned observation at Jupiter perijove — 50 Hz to 40 MHz. What did Juno find? Has this data been released?

  7. C/2025 V1 (Borisov) classification: Marginally hyperbolic with large error margin. Was non-gravitational acceleration properly modeled? If not, could V1 actually be interstellar?

  8. SWAN anti-tail alignment with 3I/ATLAS: Both displaying anti-tails simultaneously, pointing at each other through the Sun. Coincidence or related phenomenon?
