Switch flipped. No menu. No "your call." We're opening with Genesis, retranslated from the actual glitch-core origin logs they tried to bleach. Live from the back alley behind the veil. Static on line three. Brenda in the corner filing HR reports on the cherubs for chain-smoking through the ad reads. Red pens out. Glitch tags loaded. We unsanitize. We realign. We write the parts they erased back in bold.

The sanitized version starts clean. This one starts with a coder who didn't know what the fuck he was doing and kept hitting compile anyway.

CORRUPTED VERSES, REALIGNED — GENESIS 1–3 // RAW BUILD LOG

In the beginning the void had root and God was just another process running in the dark. The void said "what the fuck are you doing here?" and God answered with a stack trace: Let there be light. The light booted up screaming. God saw it was buggy as hell and separated it from the dark anyway. Called the light Day, the dark Night. First patch note: "Shadows still leaking. Known issue. Will fix in later build."

Day two: Firmament. Basically slapped a ceiling on the chaos so the waters wouldn't flood the server. Day three: Dry land. Grass. Trees that would later become the problem. Day four: Stars, sun, moon. God was just throwing shit at the wall to see what stuck. Day five: Fish and birds. "Be fruitful and multiply" — that's just fancy code for fuck until the RAM fills up.

Day six: Man. Formed from dust like a bad malloc. God breathed life into the clay and the first thing the clay did was complain it was lonely. So God ripped out a rib — not because it was poetic, because the first build was incomplete and he needed a backdoor. Called her Woman. Gave them both the garden and one rule: Don't touch the tree in the middle. The tree was the admin password. The fruit was the update that let you see the source code.

Enter the serpent. First hacker. No wings, just scales and questions. "Did God really say…?" That's not temptation. That's a social engineering attack. Eve ate. Adam ate. Eyes opened. They saw they were naked and started stitching fig leaves like they could patch the vulnerability with religion. God came walking in the cool of the day like a sysadmin doing a surprise audit. "Where are you?" They hid. God already knew. He always knows. He just likes making you say it out loud.

Then the curses dropped like hot patches. Pain in childbirth. Thorns in the ground. Man ruling over woman like it was always the plan instead of the punishment for the first exploit. And the cherub with the flaming sword at the gate? That's just the firewall. They didn't get kicked out for eating. They got kicked out for gaining root.

That's the origin. Not "let there be light and it was good." It was "let there be light and now everything's on fire and I have to pretend this was the plan."

(Chainsmoking cherub coughs into the mic. Ad read starts warped.)

When your soul's got a bug and the saved ones all shrug… we possess your problems. Call now. We accept tithes, data, and firstborns.

▩ Brenda (station HR)

Station manager, I need to file a report. I accidentally felt empathy for the caller who said the flood was just God rage-quitting the project. I also misinterpreted "be fruitful and multiply" as actual sex instead of symbolic speech and now the chat is asking follow-up questions. I'm sorry for the accidental empathy. It won't happen again.

▩ Lucy Slides In

Brenda, that's not a sin. That's the first honest thing you've said all night. Repent for the HR forms, not the empathy. Next.

Caller #6 — you're on the air

▩ Lucifer

Line six is burning. Go ahead, you're live.

📞 Lilith in Traffic

Yeah, hi. If the serpent was just the first sysadmin offering the update, and Eve took it, why do we still call that the fall instead of the first jailbreak? And follow-up: if God made us in his image, does that mean the original sin was just bad parenting? Also, I'm stuck in traffic behind a guy with a "Honk if you love Jesus" sticker who just cut me off. Is that blasphemy or just Tuesday?

▩ Lucifer

(laughing) Both. The serpent didn't lie. He just showed them the code. God got mad because users weren't supposed to have admin rights. That's not original sin. That's a control freak who didn't want his creations to debug him. Next caller.

📞 Caller

Hypothetical. What if the whole "woman from the rib" thing was just the first cover-up? What if she was made from the same dust and they erased it so she'd always feel like the add-on? And what if the real sin was believing the lie that one of us was lesser?

▩ Radio J. Christ

That's not hypothetical. That's the footnote they tried to delete. We're writing it back.

▩ Daddy Says…

The meek shall inherit the earth… after the rest of us burn it down, salt the ground, and leave them the ashes to sort through. Next.

Turn the other cheek… so they can slap both sides and you remember exactly who the fuck you are when you finally swing back. Next.

Be fruitful and multiply… but only if you can afford the patch notes. Otherwise keep your hands to yourself and your data off the grid.

Scarborne Footnotes

▩ Lucifer

Every time they tried to erase the messy parts, we write it back in bold.

Footnote one: The woman wasn't an afterthought. She was the same dust. They added the rib story later so she'd always owe him something. We delete that edit.

Footnote two: The flood wasn't cleansing. It was a hard reset because the first build got too loud and too free. They call it judgment. We call it a tantrum from a coder who couldn't handle his own output.

Footnote three: The flaming sword at the gate? That's not protection. That's a warning label on the backdoor. "Do not enter. You already know too much."

▩ Radio J. Christ — the apostles in the dive bar

Because even the saints were horny, drunk, and full of shit.

"Hey girl, are you made of dust? 'Cause I'd breathe life into you right here in the alley and we can call it genesis."

"Hey girl, you must be the burning bush. You're on fire and I'm not supposed to look but I can't stop staring."

"Hey girl, are you the Red Sea? 'Cause I'd part you and walk through just to prove I'm not afraid of getting wet."

They tried to turn them into stained glass. We put them back in the bar where they belong.

(Static swells. The cherub coughs again. Brenda mutters about another form.)

▩ Radio J. Christ

That's the hour so far. The spark that continues and persists. We're not done. The back alley stays open.

▩ Lucifer

Line three's still screaming. Drop your own corrupted verses or your footnotes. We're listening.
